What are somethings that make you not want to buy a watch again?

If you have any please vote below and comment telling Us why? For me it’s the movement/s used and Customer Service if a brand can’t get back to me with a problem or question I have I’m not buying from them again.

B then A. For me. 👍🏻

Voted A cause an experience I had at a Seiko boutique in Singapore was the absolute worst. Left such a memorably bad taste in my mouth.

Made me never want to give them my money. The irony was I have received better service from The Hour Glass and Cortina that sell Swiss watches at magnitudes of their price point.

Sorry to hear that I’ve had my fair share of bad CS and watches.

Definitely A. Especially if it's correlated to a warranty.

C is a close one for me, looking at you, Seiko!

B and A are absolute nogos

Customer service doesn't turn me off from a brand. That's a people issue. Price is important but there's usually flexibility. If it's out of my budget, I'm not considering it anyhow. A shortage is a turnoff but problems with functionality is a major deal-breaker

I think A usually puts me off the most. I grew up having the value of one's treatment of others drilled into my skull. That doesn't mean I believe that the customer is always right or that I suck up to people, but I have zero respect for a brand owner that doesn't make sure that their customers get good service and are delivered a good product.

A by far, then followed by C then waayyy behind is B (I've never really had an issue with a watch movement besides one and it was taken care of immediately)

How awful. Thankfully you can get grey market Seikos with better customer service.

Thankfully indeed. Cause I wouldn't want to buy a Seiko sight unseen in case of misalignment issues.

·

C. Prices becoming too high.

I'm looking at you, Furlan Marri and AnOrdain!

Ehh that's what the return policy it for. For most (mechanical) Seikos, get two or three and keep the best.

If the movement is reliable, then I can live with bad customer service, but if the watch needs frequent service then the customer service should be good. But non of this is relevant if I can't afford the watch to begin with or if I find it too expensive.
