Automatic movement

How much movement is too much movement for an automatic watch? I play drums for a metal band and usually wear a quartz or digital watch while playing but I just picked up my first automatic watch(a seiko king samurai white dial which I love!) And wasn't sure if it was a good idea to play drums with it... thanks

Depends on the metal. 

Grindcore = G-Shock

Melodic death = a decent quartz would do. 

Doom = you could probably get away with a Cartier. 
 

In all seriousness, pretty much all automatics are made so they can’t be overwound, and the King Samurai is a rugged watch, so there’s no need to worry about it.
