Don’t loose your hope, man! Prices will come down eventually. The market (not just for watches, but the whole market) is at an absolute peak right now and I’m sure it will come down soon (in the next few years). When inflation gets worse, interest rates rise and assets like stocks and real estate start to crash, this illusion of wealth we live in right now will fade away and prices of watches will come down after that. Mark my words, I’m 100% sure about that.
In the mean time there are many affordable watches out there waiting for you to discover them, you don’t have to just look at Rolex and other hyped brands.
I was expecting at least a few thousand, haha. At this price it’s 100% fake. Scary how good fakes can look. Maybe they used a pic of a real rolex and if you buy it they will send you a fake one 🤔
Hard to believe that there are fakes out there that look this good. I usually can spot a fake watch from a mile away, so I would say it’s real, based on the looks.
But as other members already said: if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t true 🤷🏻♂️
How much are they asking for it?
I find it hard to rank watch brands like this. Based on what aspect are they ranking here? If it’s just prestige (like status symbols), nothing can be above Patek, AP and RM. One would also have to rank Rolex much higher than it is here, because if a non-watchguy sees you wearing a Rolex he would instantly recognize it and be impressed. No one would be impressed by a Greubel Forsey for example, because no one knows what it is.
To rank watch brands properly one would have to compare the brands based on a few aspects. For example give them between one and ten points for different categories like prestige, importance, finish, movement etc. and than calculate them together to see which one is the ”best”.
