Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I was shopping for Shoes in a department store and the young man who was working in the shoes department showed me his watch. It turned out he used to work for Swatch and got a great discount for his Speedmaster. He shared the Speedmaster’s history and claim to iconic status and I was hooked. I liked his watch because it has a story and it was subtle unless you ask about it.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
My first watch was an my anniversary gift. It was a Moonphase dress watch from Maurice Lacroix I found on Facebook Market place.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don’t create a watch IG account, you’ll never revisit your personal account. Enjoy delving into watch content on YouTube, books and other collectors.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Cartier, Bell&Ross, F.P Journe.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Vacheron Constatine Dual Time Overseas. My preferences is funny, my style is function over form but I’m a sucker for iconic watches. The Dual time overseas hits both those preferences. My other preference would be a 1655, iconic, amazing function. Aesthetically pleasing.
