As for the comment about mixing, I don't really know what a high testosterone watch looks like, maybe it needs a $$$$$ price tag, but the watches you mentioned are some of the most beautiful watches in history. Its a big compliment to me that my design looks like all of them :)
Most mid-tier Swiss made watches are just assembled in Switzerland. Even the movements have most components builts “overseas”. Not suggesting thats inherently bad, its just show how its mainly branding and marketing. Its not even a secret, most customers just don’t really invest enough to find out.
Thanks. We just launched: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/unidesignwatch/model-one-by-unidesign-watch-co Check it out. Happy to answer any question.
The hardest part for the new brand is marketing. If my watch were created by some big brands, you will have journalists raving about it. For mine, I introduce my watch to my friends and the first they ask is what brand it is, second is where it was made :)))
I find the name brands are either lacklustre (< $3K) or too expensive (>$5K like Omega, Rolex, Cartier). While smaller brands provide much more value.
Im in too deep I created my own brand below - UniDesign Watch. Its utterly insane what you can have for just less than $600 (shameless marketing I know - but it applies for both mine and other micros)
