My idea of a beater is never to be a watch you don’t like. Sometimes I don’t want to overdress and wear an expensive watch to the gym or something. Or maybe for some places I travel. Or Maybe an activity that might be more likely to ding, dent, scratch or especially submerge. I have a 200 meter Bulova Mil Ships I consider a Beater and I wear it more than just to beat on. I really like it in fact… So in short a Beater is a glorious thing. Not a diss at all.
