I always had cheaper quartz watches, die hard casio fan than I bought my first automatic which was an skx007… and down the rabbiy hole I went ;)
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a no name chinese digital piece with a velcro strap. I had it as a birthday present at the age of 9 or 10 and still have it.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have my dad’s soviet “rocket” which he bought at as a first watch at the age of 15.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy a watch with your heart. If it is not strictly a tool, try ot on first and get it if you fall in love with it. Don’t worry about the specs and other people’s opinions.

Omega Seamaster 300m - Brosnan Bond era automatic. Watching 007 as kid it always made a big impression on me.
