Stealth Watches

Can we talk about "stealth" watches? I am not taking about something like an older Grand Seiko (which had just SEIKO most prominent on the dial, stealth luxury as I heard it once referred) but rather 99% black watches, the common exception being a white background for the date disk.

These are two from my collection, a Torgoen pilot's watch from the 2000's and a Swatch from the early 1980's. This last one was my "official' rock and roll clubbing watch from that era. It is also why I say Hublot did not create the all black watch, this Swatch way out dates their first effort, rather they popularized the motif.

So, do you have any stealth watches? If so, why not share a picture of same.

I think they look really good. Here's mine!

This is with the numerals in the perfect angle for the light to catch them. Otherwise it's like they don't exist. The case is black, the dial is matte black, so are the hands and date window. But the numerals are dark gray. Which is why they seem to pop some much. Apparently there's lume on the hands and hour dots. If there is, it is very weak. The typical red SUN for the day is still there and you can barely read it. None of that really matters because I absolutely love it!

Legibility or lack thereof would be my only criticism of these phantom watches. My GF loves them too. They have something mysterious about them. She would have an all black Citizen Night Hawk in her collection had the thing not been 45mm across. She has a smaller wrist.

I just got mine a few hours ago. A dresskx in stealth mode. I really think it's cool, I've been thinking to get a dresskx for sometime now but was holding back since i already have other watches to cover it's functions and how I intend to wear it. But when I saw this, I knew this was the one dresskx to be added to my collection.
