Bang for your buck at the lower end of the 'old' watch manufacturers would be Tissot.  At a point above this would be Longines (especially with their history).

Bang for your buck among the 'emerging' watch manufacturers would be Christopher Ward.

And there are other brands of course that offer "bang for your buck" too.

I also think "bang for your buck" watches can be found individually within brands that may not necessarily be "bang for your buck" brands.

I would argue that every watch in my collection offered "bang for my buck", especially when talking to my spouse!
