I am fascinated by Antarctica and hope to go there someday, whether as a tourist or for work. I was also in "need" of a solid, durable, everyday watch. So as someone who also loves textured dials, the RZE Endeavour Ross Ice was an absolute homerun for me! Durable, gorgeous, titanium (comfy!), and a fantastic theme that interests me. Despite being a bit more than I thought I was ready to spend on a watch, I went for it while it was on preorder and I'm so glad I did! The dial is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and the watch feels much more premium than any of my others. There was also a letter in the case that had my name handwritten on it, which was a nice little touch I assume you don't get from the bigger brands. The bracelet articulation feels excellent, the anti-reflective coating on the sapphire is great, and the whole thing feels extremely solid! I love the angular look of the case, as well as the matte bead-blasted finish; it's not too flashy on the wrist which I like for this style of watch. Until you look closer at the dial... neither my pictures nor any pictures or videos I've seen (and I've seen a lot) do the dial justice. It is simply stunning. The lume is also great, very bright, well applied, and lasts a pretty long time. I've found myself staring at the dial while turning the bracelet around in my hands, which I've done a lot because this watch just feels great to handle. Unfortunately, I don't have a tool to resize the bracelet, and my wrist is quite small. I took it to a Jeweler's in my town to get it resized this morning, but they were unable to. Apparently one of their tools broke when they were trying... I'm going to take it to a watch repair shop that is about a half-hour drive from me so hopefully he can get it done, I'll update the post after I do that.
Once I get it resized I intend to wear this watch hiking, camping, kayaking/canoeing, and basically every day! I'm hoping to teach on a tall ship for a year or two in the future so it'd be great for that! And obviously, it'll come with me when I go to Antarctica!
I hadn't intended to write this much on the watch in this post, maybe I should do a full review at this point, but I'm so new to this hobby and I've never done one before lol. Perhaps I'll write one in a week or so after I wear it for a little.
The next watch I'll get will probably be the Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic, another step up from this in terms of price, but I think it'll be worth it! For now though, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this piece, and spend more time just wearing it and admiring it...
Edit: my workplace had a 1mm flat-head so I was able to resize the bracelet myself and I'm finally wearing it!

I like a Matt/bead blast finish to my watches, I feel like I worry a lot less about scratches when I’m wearing them. That strap looks really nice 👀👍

Exactly! Obviously, I don't have much experience with it yet but it seems like it won't show scratches or fingerprints nearly as much as other finishes!
Beautiful watch! Congrats! 🥳
You have described the watch so well that I will just add a picture of mine..
