TUDOR MOVEMENTS

Interesting tidbit Tudor’s MT54XX calibers are produced by a manufacturer called Kenissi. Originally created by Tudor, Kenissi has become a joint venture alongside Breitling and Chanel. They provide movements to a number of brands, all of which are derived from Tudor’s in-house MT56XX platform.

If it's not Tudor making the movements, they aren't "in-house", unless all other brands that contract to a movement maker are also making "in-house" movements... 😉

I am not sure if we know that Breitling officially owns any part of it. Tudor founded and fully operates on HFW owned facilities. What we know for certain is Breitling was brought in to help collaborate on chronographs. The rest is a bit of a mystery given the HFW is private and notoriously secretive. There is likely an ownership stake, but your guess is as good as anyone else's as to the extent. They are quick to point out all the movements stem from Tudor. The only thing they say and share is:

"In 2010 the TUDOR watch brand launched an ambitious project to develop its industrial production capacity for mechanical movements. To this end, the brand brought together a group of experts and presented an initial calibre manufactured by TUDOR at Baselworld in 2015, in variations to equip two different watches.

The following year the Genevan watch brand created the Kenissi company to oversee the development and production of its movements and, in parallel, offer its technical expertise in the field of movements to third-party brands. The first industrial partnership was then forged with Breitling. As its business developed, in 2018 Kenissi then formed an industrial alliance with Chanel, supplying the calibre for its new J12.

Today Kenissi offers a wide range of self-winding movements derived from the TUDOR Manufacture calibres. These customisable, high-performance, highly robust movements are entirely developed and produced in Switzerland."
