Professional Moonwatch Review

3861 Hesalite Omega Moonwatch (New to me). Fit and finish is spot on. Dial Legibility is wonderful. I love the small microscopic concentric rings around the sub isles. I like the fact that they left the tachometer ring in metal still as opposed to ceramic. However, I realize this is traditional with this particular piece, which is great. The Hesalite Crystal is very clear and And gives it that real traditional look, which I love. The new bracelet is extremely comfortable, with the oval links and the new clasp operates very smoothly and has better micro adjustability than before. My only complaint is I think the taper is just a bit too much. I wish it was a couple of millimeters wider than it is, but it’s a small complaint. It’s a beautiful bracelet, the outside cover of the clasp is a bit art deco, I like that. I prefer the bracelet being totally matte finished as opposed to the sapphire version with some polished links. I do feel the crown out of the box. It is a bit stiff for a watch of this caliber. However, I have read numerous times that within several months the crown will not necessarily loosen up a little bit, but will become easier to wind.

I know some folks complain about the packaging that Omega provides, but I love the nice boxes. With this one in particular, I love the fact that it’s covered with what appears to be a ballistic nylon with straps. I was disappointed, however, that it did not come with the Omega loop, and or a spring bar tool. For the folks out there that think Omega, or any other major manufacturer is going to give you a discount by not giving you such a box you were sorely mistaken. The price will remain the same, and you won’t get a nice box. Case-N-point, look at Breitling, they are absolutely tore up with the hippie tree hugger Woke mentality and their packaging, to put it bluntly sucks. Their Packaging used to be very nice. Once a manufacturer takes something away, they never give it back and the price does not go down on said object.

So the moral of that little paragraph is, you gotta watch wish you wish for, because it may come true.
