Seiko 140th Anniversary

Any love out there for the SPB 62MAS reissues? I think these are destined to become classics like the SKX’s. What are your thoughts?

For sure they'll be classics, as long aa Seiko does not oversaturate the market with various dial variations. Unfortunately, it's happening already lol. Sharing my SPB149:

I don’t think the reissue will be a classic. The 62MAS is a classic. Having said that the SPB reissue is 🎯in my book. My choise was SPB143.

I think they will be a staple of the Seiko lineup for years to come. They are retro, without being too retro, particularly with the SPB239 replacing the SPB147.

One day I'll add a 143 or 239 to my collection, I just plan to do it when ADs have stock, and start offering nice discounts.

It's a fantastic looking watch, but I think it's a little too expensive to be an instant classic, since the price is a bit more than the average Seiko diver. However, if an AD has one that lines up well and is offering a discount, I think it would be the Seiko dive watch to get! Much better looking than the turtle/samurai/monster imo.

Very nice watch. But I do not believe they will overtake SKX. SKX is a symbol. If someone says SKX all watch "little experts" know what we are speaking about. SPB? I had to have a look in internet ...
