Would anyone else like to see Omega update and re-release this watch?

Omega SeaMaster GMT “Great White”

I’ve never done an actual post or poll before this. I’ve only commented here and there so hopefully this works correctly. I’m interested in comments and thoughts about this subject. I’d be in the market for something like this if Omega updated and re-released it. I’d also like to have different dial color options and bezel options too. I would love to see them give the hour markers a little more bold outline in black like the current white dial SMP. The HEV. Doesn’t really bother me one way or the other but I’d like to see them try and keep the thickness down to compete with the new Tudor “coke” GMT. Looking forward to a great discussion.

Yes!!!

Omega should release a Seamaster Pro/Diver GMT, period. The fact that they haven’t made a GMT version of the post-2018 version is strange.

I was thinking the same thing. One can hope, right.

Big triangle, no wart, hell yeah!

I love Omega. But the catalog is pretty extensive as it is. Maybe a limited edition, which they do too often while we are on that topic, is a better option.

I’ve heard similar talk about the catalog. I think it’s good to have variety but not too much right. It just seems that Omega doesn’t have a watch that competes with the other brands in the gmt category. There was a planet ocean gmt but that is big and most people wanting a gmt having a 600 meter wr would be overkill.

Certainly, there could be more GMT options. They only offer Planet Ocean (which are rather hefty and large) and AquaTerra models with GMT. I’m kind of surprised that they don’t offer GMT within each of their sub collections. They could probably cut a few slow sellers, and add these as a potential way to make the catalog more compelling.

Yeah I agree. I think it’s a fine line to walk. You don’t want an over saturated market of watches that aren’t selling but you do want good options.

I guess they could add a DeVille and Constellation GMT without cutting anything else. That might make sense. I do feel like they offer a great range of options, and perhaps it’s not as bloated as it seems at times. I love the brand, though, and agree that they really ought to have a GMT across all four sub collections.

For me personally I’d like the current dial layout and design of the SMP but change the 12 marker to the triangle? I like the triangle but I think I’d have to see it on the current dial to see if it works. Obviously that’s subjective. Then do a bi-directional bezel but give different bezel options stainless, and keep the color options relevant to current SMP color schemes and it would be cool. Just make it so the bezel is laser cut or however they do that so it’s not painted the the numbers get scratched and wear off. I would seriously buy one of this tomorrow.
