Wow! People still judge like that? Here in NYC I've seen and worked with a plethora of capable females/her/them of all ages who will outright own it and wear it proudly. And I won't have an iota of a doubt that they got it any other way... except sell their soul and wallet.
My friend recently told me a similar example with Hermes. She wanted a specific Birkin Bag had bought plenty from Hermes. Last year she was finally allocated a bag from her store. But it wasn't the color or style she wanted. She told me she had to buy it otherwise it's unlikely they'll ever call her back for another allocation. But at least she won't run at a loss since someone will pay more for that bag.
