I think my vote would have to go to Sinn. My UX feels absolutely rock solid, over engineered and is now standard issue to the German navy special forces.

Saying that though, anything remotely strenuous and I'm reaching for one of my gees.

i can really recommend steveostraps. All straps are handmade to order and cost about the same as your average hirsch, gecko etc. I've ordered a few over the years but I think this leather two piece NATO style is my favorite.
