New watch-Perrelet turbine XL

Hello crunchers. Last week I got a incredible opportunity to pick up a used a Perrelet watch that a friend of mine managed to network.

Now o understand that for some Perrelet is a bit of a controversial brand like Hublot etc. Now I picked this up for about 2.5k$ which might be a bit underpriced. I would have never payed for this watch the 5K$ that a new turbine costs since it seems to be a little bit over priced considering it's just a 4hz movement, it has very nice decorations and finishing but still it's just a watch that's big, although titanium case with a very nice rubber strap but just 50m water resistance and no other gimmick but the fidget spinner on the dial.

All in all I think I'm happy, it's a first "luxury" watch I own, not sure if I will hold on to this, what is your opinion on Perrelet and the turbines? I think they are nice watches, I instantly felt that I'm holding a expensive piece in my hand when I turned it over. Having a in house movement (I think outsourced ????) And nice finishing makes it a good watch in my mind, but maybe not for the full price.

Yes, for the money I got it for it's the best thing in the world. I am more about nice dials (Seiko or Fred.Const. etc.) So these quirky dials aren't really my cup of tea. From what I seen on Chrono perrelets don't hold their value very well, I think if it were a brand new I'd maybe think 3.5-4k$ would be a fair price, although I'm not sure the case back sure is stunning
