I love mod watches and I enjoy seeing content about them on YT. Nevertheless, there´s a thin line between a mod and a frankenwatch.
For me, a mod watch is something you enjoy making and doesn´t cost a lot of money in parts. Nevertheless there are fraud sellers that try to pass this watches for original ones on many sites.
However, I'm always wary. Depending on where you are in the process (repairing, modding, buying or selling) there's a blurred distinction between modded watches, frankenwatches and fakes.

Yes, Seiko should done it. This one was made by local mod specialist, who use 62 mas case, ceramic bezel with very good feeling (Seiko should use it in all divers).
I'm careful about keeping my watches from being accurately called "Frankenwatches" so I use genuine Seiko movements and don't alter them beyond giving them the best regulation I can, which for the NH-- series is not difficult. I also gravitate toward making variants of a submariner style watch, especially the Yacht-Master, which Seiko doesn't make but perhaps they should.

Nice mod. Looks like Seiko should've made it.

It is very comfortable and I love it!
