Polishing a Sapphire crystal on movado museum

So, I snatched a very great $140 deal on this movado museum on eBay the other day. Now, I knew what I was getting myself into. This had some scratches that needed some polishing. Tried using polywatch, & it looks like the scratches are deeper than expected 😪

any suggestions before I take it to my guy who can replace the crystal?

Hey, if it is really a sapphire crystal, you should not be able to polish it. As far as I know they will alway be replaced.

Polywatch is for plastic, so acrylic crystals only. I don’t know if there are options to polish a sapphire.

btw the watch looks awesome, congrats to that purchase!

Before you will change it, try the polishing diamond paste (it has to be a good one) and rotating tool. There are some videos at YouTube.

I made it with my Omega Seamaster. Below pictures before and after:

Very nice. I will definitely consider that before consulting with my watchmaker guy. Thanks!
