Basic?

They work well and look nice.

Too many closed case backs.

This one is a beauty worth appreciating.

A solid package overall👌

I mean basic compared to movements of luxury watches. I agree that it works really well 😊

Honestly, luxury ⌚ are usually simply finished better but fundamentally very similar in most mechanisms.

How can anyone say any watch movement is "basic" amazes me 😂

In our over sensationalized world, we forget what a marvel of engineering and technology these ETA movements are…to get this type of calibre, usually with 80 hours of power reserve, and the ability to fine tune precision (mine have all been able to keep +1 to +2 per day for years), is unreal.

Yes, Swatch Group in this price point won’t provide Breget type finishing, but that’s a personal preference in my opinion.

An engine is an engine, some engines have hand finishing, or polishing on exterior parts, but internals often don’t change much. In truth, some of the more hand finished and bespoke pieces both DO NOT run within spec like these and often DO NOT have the power reserve, but yeah, they’re pretty to look at.

Hamilton provides tool watches for the most part, so the finishing matches the role…sort of like saying someone was upset that everyone didn’t wear a tuxedo to go camping, different tools for different tasks.

I see where you’re going with this, but your usage of the word “basic” might put some “watch world referrees” off …perhaps “utilitarian finishing” might appear the watch Gods ;)

Welcome to Watch Crunch and enjoy that Hamilton, they’re amazing!
