HOW MUCH….👎🏻

It's a LV, people will pay just for the name.

but the price…why????

Because if you sell it for what it's actually worth, people won't be tricked into thinking this is a luxury product. The appeal is not the watch, it's signaling you're wearing a 20k€ piece of jewelry. 🤑

Excellent point! I think this is a hard pass for me and I will wait for CW to make a homage. 😁

You'd say it's competing with the VC 56, except that it probably isn't the same market. Fashionistas will go for this having never investigated VC, and I'd assume watch people would go the VC route.

Though I don't know about the movement or metals so maybe I'm jumping to conclusions.

Is the name “Tambour” supposed to hint that the watch will have some kind of noise maker complication? If so, those are expensive to produce unless you’re nifty like CW.

Unfortunately this is not the case. Just a well made steel sector dial 3-hander. :/

I handled an older tambour piece at NRT airport. It was being sold for about 8000 USD at the time. I also visited Hermes and Bvlgari after that and couldn’t fathom why LV would price it that high.

Like others have said, LV is just competing with itself. If someone was paying 8K for the old tambour, this new version is an absolute steal for the money with the new design and movement.

Everyone else would probably run away from this proposition.
