The best of the 3 Review

After reviewing 3 of everyone's favorite watches to either wear or complain about, I have came to my conclusion. I will review them one by one then make a post of my choice of what I think is the best.

The first one on the chopping block is the Spaghetti Scameti Icon. After all of the talking and posts about one, I bought one. I bought it to help a YouTuber that I like to watch. He doesn't have enough subscribers to be making the big bucks. Selling merch is how YouTubers get by to fund making content for us to enjoy.

The watch isn't anything super fancy to look at. It isn't ugly to look at either. It's just a run of the mill fashion watch made to look dressy for people who don't have much money to buy anything more expensive. @benswatchclub is more or less pointing out that these cheap watches are way overpriced for what they are. Companies are charging too much money and need to be shamed for it. It's like going to a corner store in a bad neighborhood and buying a beer. They charge you $5 for a beer that you can get in a good neighborhood for half the price. It's a shame that these places take advantage of the less fortunate. He is also trying to teach these people that at the prices they are paying they can get something better and cheaper. Go a few blocks further and get your money's worth.

The dial has a nice blue color to it that changes different shades in different lighting. Because of the color of the dial the slim silver hands are hard to see. If your eyesight isn't the best you will be wearing it for looks and not for the time. I modified mine by putting different hands on it so I could see the time. I even aligned the second hand so that it will hit the indices better than it did.

The case has a nice shape and decent finish. The press on caseback fits fairly easy. I don't need to use my press to put it back on. I wouldn't trust it in water. Definitely not in a swimming pool, lake, river or washing your hands. I see water resistance at a bare minimum.

The pressed steel bracelet is decent to look at but very uncomfortable to wear. It has sharp edges on the bottom of it. Your tetanus shots better be up to date if you plan on keeping it. I took a Hadley Roma sports strap and cut it to fit to eliminate the problem. The integrated bracelet makes it difficult to swap it out.

It comes with a cheap Miyota movement that you can find in all kinds of cheap watches. If it goes bad it's an easy swap.

It came with a nice looking box, a 30 seconds from purchase warranty card, a certificate of authenticity magnet, and a piece of the middle man. Coming with the extra goodies and 75% discount for using the code "sportscar fund" goes to show how much of a mark up is on these cheap watches.

This man is giving us the answers we never asked for but desperately needed 👏

Replacing the bland skinny stock hands really makes a difference.

Now that Scameti looks fire hahaha. Nice hand mod. You're right about the water resistance, I think the rain might give you trouble haha. Cheers for supporting the show

You're welcome Ben. I love the show and the watch. Don't let my review fool you. I always love a watch with history. This is history my friend.
