Certina DS Action Diver

I am pleased to see increasing availability of Certina watches here in the US. I know the Scandinavian countries have known all about Certina for years but they seem to finally be gaining traction in the American market. The 38mm sizing of this model is perfect for my 6.5 inch wrist and it’s hard for an amateur iPhone shot to do justice to the beautiful color (the green version is also stunning). Although I’m still a certified Seikopath I must say this Certina is hard to beat in value for money and will likely dominate wrist time for me this year.

Certina make some really good watches, period

Great looking Certina, I have the same model in titanium. I love Certina and their watches.

I have it in black. Love it. Sub vibes but with its own heritage.

I was wanting the green 38mm for the longest, but the lackluster clasp has held me back. I still may give in at some point and just drill additional holes for more microadjust positions.

I wanted titanium but the steel was a great sale and I love the blue

Mine is in green! Had it about 10 days!

I actually don’t mind it at all. I was worried but coming from many mediocre seiko clasps I was pleasantly surprised. The micro adjustments aren’t an issue as the bracelet has several half links in it so getting the perfect fit isn’t too much hassle. I definitely agree the bracelet is the weak point of this watch (as with almost any watch under several thousand dollars, even grand seiko bracelets can leave something to be desired). I would say if the bracelet or clasp are holding you back I would go ahead and grab it anyway or at least handle one in person and see if it’s not so bad as you feared as I have found. Cheers 🍻

I have the 43mm in Black. Very impressive with excellent time keeping. Tempted by the same size in Titanium. Anyone have any experience of that one?

I would have bought the titanium if it wasn’t for the stainless steel crown. You don’t notice it at first but once you do you can’t unsee it and the mismatch really ruins the look of the watch for my OCD. I don’t think it’s very noticeable on wrist at all or for people who are less nuerotic than I am but it was a dealbreaker for me. My current next watch of choice would be the Christopher Ward Twelve in 36mm no date titanium.

I can’t help but notice it now either! 😂😂

Glad to have saved you sir 🍻😂 if they would just fix that one thing they could take my money and I wouldn’t sell my blue steel model either I would keep both

Beautiful - Certina's now get more wrist time than Seiko's for me recently (dont wven know how many Seiko's I own), ❤️ the Certina DS Multi 8 is close to watch perfection for my daily needs (one of my few non wind up watches I own ironically).
