GS Snowflake alternative

I purchased this Seiko (forgot the model number) many moons ago. I saw the GS Snowflake and wanted one so bad but it was over my price range at the time. Then I was looking on WatchRecon one day and I saw this model. I went back and forth with the seller and finally got it to a good price and bought it. Ever since I received it, I was in love. The dial more looks like a morning frost. The case is titanium and the movement ids the 6R15. I don’t think this model is produced anymore and that’s a dann shame. Just thought you Crunchers would enjoy an older Seiko.

This is an absolute stunner of a watch and a fantastic alternative to the grand Seiko snowflake. I agree it’s a crying shame that they no longer produce this watch as I think a lot of people would pick this up as an alternative but who knows maybe that was the point am I right?

Man that's one gorgeous looking Seiko. I think the closest current model is the SRPF53, but it has a slight ice tint and date at the 6.

That’s a beautiful dial too but I like the hand set better on mine

I do too. Dauphine hands always look great on Japanese watches. I've handled the SRPF53 in person and it does have a similar texture on the dial. And while renders online show it with a blue/ice dial, it actually looks more white in person.

The Seiko SARX055 "Baby Grand Seiko Snowflake". I have one too, very smart!
