Play in an auction, win prices! Part 2

So the second acquisition of 2024 has found its way to me. This is the second Eterna which I got through an auction, on the same day as my previous one.

The difference being this one is quartz, pre worn and has an 18k gold bezel with 120m water resistance. It also came with the original box and original lizard leather strap, which as far as I can tell has not really been used. Since I didn't own any gold watches I took a chance on it and ended up the highest bidder.

Its dimensions, being a 36mm with a lug to lug of 42mm, means it wears exactly right for me. And yes it does wear larger despite being a 36mm.

This watch must have been worn on a different strap and has been loved by its previous owner. Considering what I paid for it its condition is more than fair. Which leads me to the following questions to you guys:

Should I do something about the scratches on the bezel? If so, how? Does it make sense, since gold is softer and will scratch again? And do any of you know the best way to rehydrate/condition a lizard skin leather strap?
