Weird "little" dress watch from Aliexpress
This is a Zuan Shi (Diamond,) which is apparently an original Chinese watch company from the thirties whose name is now owned by the Shanghai watch company, among others. It's a hand wound mechanical.
It wears big. I really thought that it was going to be a more traditional dress watch size, but as you can see it's fully modern in that respect. I can't find my calipers, but it looks at least 39mm to me; I'm glad the case isn't gold or I don't think I could wear it at this size.
The good news is it has 20mm lugs, so pretty much endless strap options. I know, I'm wearing it on a Nato, but I think that wearing any watch on a pass-thru strap accentuates the lugs and in this instance really brings out the beauty of this Omega(?) style case shape. The watch actually came packed with an expansion bracelet, which is cool, I like expansion bracelets, but I'm not going to be able to use it until I pick a day where what I want to do is size an expansion bracelet. Wish I could show you the movement because I'm curious, but I need a rubber ball for it and I only have a wrench 😑
