Sam's Watch Review (Sanda 3188-89/12)

How I Got It

This watch was a 'gift' as my girlfriend said when she gave me a watch box for my birthday this year. She bought a pair of Sanda watches with the reason of 'trying out a cheap watch to see the quality'.

Build Materials & Appearance

The watch is using plastic/resin material for the case. White case, white dial with black and green hands alongside a white resin strap. I believe the watch is using acrylic instead of mineral crystal at least as it just seems to scratch easily. There's also a day and date complication at 3 hour marker which is quite nice to be honest. The watch is said to be 50m water resist written on the dial. I have never tested it going 50m deep underwater but I surely have brought it working with me in swimming pool and everything seems fine. No water coming in anywhere and the dial still looks dry. Im not going specifically on the specs but I have 6 inch wrist and it wear nicely.

Pros & Cons Starting with Cons then Pros

Been using it for a few months now and all I can say is that this can be a super cheap beater watch, or something for you to give to your child. I honestly believe that there are much more cheap and affordable watches out there that has more value compared to this watch especially Casio.

The good side of it however is that the watch is super cheap so you won't have to worry about damaging it or losing it. You can always buy another one (if you're really into in) without feeling like you spent anything. Plus being a quartz, this watch is keeping time a lot better than my more expensive mechanical watches.

Summary

Overall, an 'ok' watch to have. But like I said I don't really recommend getting these as you may just as easily get a Casio that brings more value for the money. I understand that there's nothing wrong with buying this watch, I just believe that Casio would surely provide a greater value over the Sanda.
