Sam's Watch Review (Casio A168)

How I Got It

Since I started my watch collecting journey, I love sharing my time pieces for my girlfriend to see and hopefully admire 😂. She has a very small wrist, around 4 inches in diameter I'm guessing here. But it just made it so hard to find a matching watch that we both can wear and still look nice together. So after quite some time, we finally decided to go with the Casio A168. I get the positive display and she gets the negative display. Same watch that can be worn and matched perfectly!

Build Materials & Appearance

Again, dark chrome plated resin case. 'Gun metal' metal bracelet with acrylic covering the dial. This model has a stealthy look as it is a darker shade of silver which looks so cool in my opinion! Being a digital watch means it's super easy to read the time as well. The watch basically looks similar to the A158W just with a slightly thicker case but it's completely fine for me.

Pros & Cons Starting with Cons then Pros

As usual I don't like the acrylic, don't like the resin case. Same small button as the A158W, very hard to press. The metal bracelet here somehow feels more rough than the A158W.

Loving the A158W design, both me and my girlfriend also falls for this A168 design. It just looks so simple. Kinda looks a little bit vintage but at the same time also looks modern. That stealthy look is just 🫠! Great battery life with 7 years estimates. That Electro Luminescence though. That single feature is the reason why I would always recommend the A168 rather than the A158W. It is simply superior! Drilled lug holes? This cheap watch has this simple feature that many others with much more expensive price tag don't have. God tier!

Summary

I love this watch! 10/10 will always pick this over the A158W and I recommend everyone to do as well. It's a no brainer that this A168 is simply far better than the similarly designed A158W. Great watch for its value, and both me and my girlfriend now has a matching watch to wear that also looks great on her small wrist. I love A168.
