Rather than posting a SOTC, thought I would do a rollup of new watches added to the collection during 2023, including gifts to my wife and daughters.
Casio G-Shock GW-M5610. Replaced the older model GW-W5610 in the collection with the new model sporting the updated module and a better backlight. Gifted the old one to my youngest daughter.
Rolex Explorer ref 124270. Long time "grail" and hands down my most worn watch of 2023.
Baltic MR01. Ordered in 2022, finally delivered in 2023. Fun fact - I waited longer for the Baltic than for the Rolex. Go figure.
De Guzman & Co DG013. An inexpensive microbrand from the Philippines. A gift for my wife from her homeland. About the only nice thing I'll say about the watch is the dial is nice, but she likes it.
Cartier Tank Must Large. An expensive Swiss-made French brand and surprise gift for my wife to celebrate the 35th anniversary of our first date (she thought we'd drove 80 miles to get it for me).
Longines Dolce Vita L5.512.4.71.6. Actually, two for my daughters. They are currently under their Christmas trees and will be opened tomorrow!
Seiko SLBD085 Speedtimer. The kind of watch I would have bought before I got into watches. Despite what many say, I think the bracelet suits the watch just fine.
Timex Weekender "Snoopy". Another gift for my wife, who loves dogs, birds, and flowers - a triple threat dial.!
The only thing on the threat board for 2024 is the long-awaited Grand Seiko with a mechanical movement. Just not sure what model…or even if it’ll happen in 2024 after my wife casually mentioned this morning the amount of $$$ spent on watches this year! Anybody know of a watch support group I could join? 🤣

The only watch in 2024 you say 🤔
