And there is the new 39.5mm version that was just announced.  List price is $275.  Currently on sale at Greentoe for $168.  The sale price is about double the price for the model shown above.  The new version does have a movement that hacks.

I did not join the Speedy club until 2020 but I had coveted one for many years.  My version is the basic Moonwatch…mechanical not automatic, 42 mm which fits my wrist perfectly.  I like it.

But one of the first things I realized is that for over 50 years, this watch is a marvel of corporate marketing.  The Moonwatch legend that has become attached to this version drives sales like gangbusters.  But that said, it has not diminished my love for this watch.
