Oris Aquis Dat Watt - the arrow pointer hand shows the progression of the moonphase and mean tide height. Good watch for life on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
Actually I do think Oris do some innovative “functions”.
I have my eye on their Depth Gauge but really need to try one on as I think it will be too chunky for me.
And as they have patented it no one can produce anything similar. The capillary gauge is both simple and very clever.
Oris does have some fascinating complications. However, I think you definitely need to try it on before you buy. The Aquis watches are large, thick and heavy, mine is one of the largest in my collection. It feels well balanced on my wrist, wears well for me. I’ve got a 7” wrist, so it works for me, but but this one is not for all.

Thank you - I certainly will.
Practically I think it will be fine for actually diving (e.g. over wetsuit) but for daily wear I suspect not. I have passed on a few pre-owned in great condition simply as I haven’t tried it yet.
Given your comments I will look across your gallery as that will also help give me a feel for where it is on the spectrum. The ADs near me have had other Orises to try but not this precise model. Hopefully I will be at their flagship store in the near future.
Until then I continue to enjoy this - but it is comparatively small!

Indeed, I don’t dive, mine gets a lot of use in the winter over a ski jacket or parka. Works well for that! Your Oris looks better for a daily wear.

That’s a cool design 😎
I’ll revisit once I have my PHD! 😉
