A skeleton in the house before Halloween

We went to an annual watch fair at our local AD today. I came home with one that’s been on my radar screen for a couple of years - an Oris Pro Pilot X Skeleton. This big boy (44mm), similar to my 43.5mm Oris Aquis. However the titanium case and strap weigh in at 110g compared to the Aquis’ 178g, and the bracelet makes for a smooth comfortable wear. It seems like this watch has been polarizing in the online community. I like it, titanium works for me; there’s an interesting look with one of the more extreme skeletonized movements around; and a crazy long 10-day power reserve on a manual wind. No, it’s not a ‘real’ pilot watch despite the name, but I pilot an airplane as often as I dive deeper than 300 meters, so no problem there. I’ll give you all a more thorough opinion after it gets some wrist time.

Yeah, that's a Grail for sure. Beautiful . One of the very few skeletons that looks legible and technical. Love it, congratulations 👏🏻🎉

Amazing #oris timepiece 🤩

Stunning watch. I am contemplating getting it myself. Some good discounts from original MSRP. What is your experience in regard to scratches?

The case and the strap show very little if any wear after five months now. The clasp does show some slight wear and scratching. Overall, I’m happy with how it wears. Not as bulletproof as my Omega Seamaster Titanium but on par with my Grand Seiko Winter regarding wear.
