So I was gifted this watch for Christmas. It was bought from the seiko online store. The seconds hand doesn’t hit any of the makers. Any tips on how I can go about fixing this?
Not sure that you can. Unfortunately on many quartz watches this is the case. Trying to exchange for another might be an option but no guaranteee the next will be any better. I have a number of quartz watches. Some hit all the markers, some hit about half (usually on the same side of the dial, and others hit none of the markers. I learned a long time ago to accept whatever the outcome. To me the seconds hand is pretty much just an indicator that the watch is running.
It's a Seiko. They are known for QC (quality control) issues. Bezel miss alignments on their divers and second hands not hitting thier marks. You can contact them and send it in. Good luck
