I don’t often even look at watches in the $300 to $400 range but this one caught my eye. It’s a 43mm case size with an automatic NH38 movement, So no ghost date on the crown adjustment. FKM rubber strap and a sapphire crystal. So a lot of watch for the dough! Oh and the lume is BGW9 and is great. As I said, it’s a 43mm case but plays on the wrist like a 41mm. And I have a 7 inch wrist. Also has 5 micro adjustments on the clamshell clasp

I came real close to pulling the trigger on that exact model. Color, materials, dial texture… they did a nice job on that one.

What held me back is the lack of a date complication. Might seem silly but I can’t have a watch without a date, for me it’s just a must on a watch.

I have a black Mitchell field watch and a NorthPort seafoam green. Love my Islanders!
