I’m on the fence too. I just got a SRPD thats never been worn. The seller had already purchased  a new bezel, insert, and a DD sapphire crystal. He lost interest in the mod, and sold it all to me for $180. well actually he traded it to me for a TM m6 3 wood and a bag of weed 😂

I would never butcher a working Vintage watch. But it’s your watch. do whatever the hell you want to do.

I'm wondering if I picked up a Franken watch myself last night. These questions that need answers are the reason why I love collecting watches so much. You gained so much knowledge trying to answer one question. From what I know the 6309 should be a diver. But I could be wrong. It's definitely a frankenwatch. And if it+ keep decent time then it's worth 20 bucks in my opinion. Here's a picture of the mystery watch I picked up last night.

  • I bought this watch for the bracelet since the seller did not have a working battery in it. I polished it with some Jeweler's Rouge and it turned out amazing. Tomorrow I'm going to go get a battery to throw in her, and I bet she works great. I've been trying to find pictures of a similar watch why are they having no luck. I'm only into this watch first 60 bucks which is pretty much what the bracelet is worth. The serial number suggests 1997 or 2007. If anyone recognizes her let me know!
