Controversial Watch: Movado

I’m aware Movado lost its appeal after the 90s and early-2000s, but as a 90s kid, they will always insight nostalgia. This is a movado esperanza from the 90s. I had this exact watch as a kiddo, but lost it.

I tracked one down on eBay. It was in rough condition. These were often faked, but the movement inside is a genuine Swiss quartz with jewels. Aligned the dial and hands. Cleaned the dial, hands, logo, and under the crystal. Polished her up. Installed new battery. Looks amazing. Keeps great time. Though I rarely wear, I’m happy to have this again.

The midnight blue dial is stunning. The links are beautiful. The clasp has a nice snap; exceptionally machined. I don’t care much for modern Movados, but these examples from the 90s are nice.

I have a white Movado Museum that I wore for years... really loved that watch and thought it was fancy. I still have it but don't wear it over my latest pick ups.

If you like it then rock it!
