New watch design 🚨 ALERT 🚨 Which color is your favourite?

1 year ago I lost my job due to the economic downturn in the industry I was employed in, namely the construction industry. I worked as a project manager developing housing for people in Sweden.

I decided to take a leap of faith - investing in a new career path as a watch designer. Watches is the perfect mix of my two passions; architecture and engineering.

Today marks the start of measuring my potential. I've been working real hard, with great passion and interest. I've learned so much, thanks to watch enthusiasts like you. I've connected to a ton of likeminded people all over the globe. And most importantly, I have had a lot of fun!

Now its time to share with you, the final design of the Arvet! Arvet means heritage in Swedish.

The Arvet is a dressy sports watch for daily wear. The design is inspired by the Reuleaux Triangle, named after the german mechanical engineer Franz Reuleaux. More on that later...

The Arvet collection comes in 3 colors; Black, Blue and Burgundy.

Now to the specifications of the watch:

Movement: Miyota Caliber 9039

Material: Stainless steel 316L

Crystal: Sapphire crystal, Double domed top hat with Anti-reflection coating on the inside (5 layers)

Dial: Sector dial. Double layers. Pressed guilloché, frosted outer sector and sinus shaped ring bearing the indices.

Hands: Baton style, luminous in Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 (Blue glow)

Hour markers: Hand-mounted and luminous in Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 (Blue glow)

Caseback: Exhibition. Sapphire crystal and engraving with a unique serial number

Rotor: Custom design... more on this later.

Crown: Semi-integrated screw-down crown

Bracelet: Stainless steel (316L) tapered 20-16mm

Clasp: Deployant clasp with 'Micro Adjust on the Fly'

Water resistance: 100m, 10 bar, 330ft

ALATO Klockor is the name of my company. ALATO is a registered trademark. The word ALATO has a very personal meaning. I'll tell you the story about this later on as well...

As a seasoned and experienced project manager I do have a very detailed plan for the launch. I've had a lot of support from other established microbrands while planning and designing. Also, this is not the first watch I produce. Actually it is the second to be honest. Shortly, the plan is to launch the watch on Kickstarter in about 2 months time. I have prototypes coming in, in a couple of weeks. And I am very excited to share these with you all.
