CIGA Design Central Tourbillon Mount Everest Homage Edition

Have not seen anyone mention this on here yet, and it turned up on an Instagram dive randomly.

Celebrating 70 years of the ascent of Mount Everest, CIGA Design produced the world's first Mount Everest-Themed Central Tourbillon.

Since the production is very complicated (their words), there are very few in stock, and the numbers available on a month-by-month basis are limited.

Personally, I think it looks pretty cool. Is it $3600 worth of cool? Not sure. Maybe I’ll try and secure a review model for TER…

Help me out, what am I supposed to be looking at to see what time it is?

If you imagine the watch is at ten past ten, like most press shots, then you should be able to work it out. Failing that, their website has video.

Blimey, could get a Smiths that's the model that actually went up Everest for far less !!

True - much less, but doesn’t have Tourbillon and a dial made of actual Everest rock.

I thought this looked pretty interesting, and wasn’t ever talked about on the platform.

Is it too much? Maybe… the general WC consensus seems to be that CIGA are a poor man’s Richard Mille (quoted so many times), but I don’t think that is particularly fair, and clearly CIGA have done pretty well for themselves.

Yes, I do like it. Just not the price ( but do understand why)

Thank you for posting it 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s very expensive - but I’m also not surprised. Instagram random - and I don’t recall every seeing it mentioned here (or in the much wider press). I tried to make this a “news” post, but I don’t think I can make those. Ah well…

Looks interesting but fairly large case at 45mm. Have heard good things about their GPGH winning blue planet watch which showed up in the everest video. Agree that it's at a price point where it's not throwaway money for most... would be cool to see a review from an adventurous buyer.

Again, for the platform where anything sub-38mm is emasculating a 45mm case would be right up everyone’s street right?

CIGA Design are an interesting prospect; I think they’ve done well.
