In India they tend to notice and value gold a heck of a lot more than stainless steel (at least in the big cities). I'd say this would fly very much under the radar in that context. Wear and enjoy it. India always feels a lot safer to me than a big European city (but then it could be because I am of Indian origin myself).
If you want a chrono specifically then the speedy for sure. I prefer the moonwatch over the 57. Or possibly dark side of the moon editions.
As much as I love the seamaster diver 300m, I have a soft spot for the seamaster 300 heritage which was my first luxury watch. Great watch that works no matter the occasion (looks very dressy on leather).

The watch maker has a full set of tools. Can't fathom or guess what they are called.
He does it really quickly and easily. Practice makes perfect I guess.

I am so bad at removing spring bars too. The watchmaker next to my office changes straps for me for free since I repaired a few of my older watches with him. But I feel guilty to ask him to do it often since I do like to change often. So every now and again I do one myself and it's a miracle if I don't scratch a lug 😂
