Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

It just seemed to build up gradually and has recently accelerated.

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

A Venus black dial.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

My 1971 Seiko 6105-8119 was bought by a Vietnam vet in the Philippines in 1971. I am the second owner apart from Spencer Klein who restored it.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Never get into debt to buy watches. Saving up for watches helps consolidate wether you still want that watch or your taste has changed.

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Casio.

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

In my early teens I looked in the window of Berry's of Hull and loved the Rolex sub.
