Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I was given a Longines cal. 23ZS movement with dial and hands in '97 by a watch enthusiast friend. Jochen Benzinger in Pforzheim engraved the movement for me and added a case made by Ickler in 2001.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Only buy watches that speak to you. Ignore hyped models on social media.
If you have a grail watch in mind, be patient while saving up for it and don't go for an alternative.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Fortis, Damasko, Sinn, neo-vintage IWC
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Sinn 142 (D1 mission), titanium case and bracelet with Lemania cal. 5100.
