I think it all comes down to your preconceived ideas. If you think NATO's look cheap when you see one it will look cheap. I go the other way, I think bracelets suck, visually to big, heavy, sluggish. They turn watches into handcuffs. NATO's (and things like sailcloth) set watches -and my wrist-free.

It all depends what you get out of watches.

Art. Soul. Concept, ideas, history, story, authenticity, inspiration

Design. Mind. Nice looks, works well, cool functions, specs.

Craft. Hand. decorated Finishing, materials, effort.

Personally I'm 60‰ art, 20% of the other two.

commented on How do people do this? ·

I go watch on my right wrist and smartwatch on my left forearm every day. I don't consider a smartwatch a watch and above the scaphoid is forearm not wrist so it's not double wristing.

commented on Boring is better ·

Sorry but no I'm going the other way. Its funny seeing people say things like "it's not boring it's...... timeless, elegant, sophisticated...."

All just euphemisms for dull

commented on Apple Watch - do you consider it a "real" watch? ·

I tend towards no. A watch is a device FOR telling the time not just able to tell the time. An apple watch can tell the time but it's not for telling it.

An applewatch that couldn't display the time would still be an applewatch.

commented on Will Tudor Surpass Omega? ·

No. Tudor has stalled with their most expensive pieces the same price as omegas cheapest. Perhaps in 50 years.

commented on Would you sell your Tudor Black Bay 58 for a Black Bay 54 ·

my question would be "would you notice"?
