Seiko SPB143J1 vs SPB149J1. Which one?
Hi WC fam!
I have a question - which one would you pick: SPB143J1 or SPB149J1?
I have the 143 and I am offered trade for the limited 149. I am pretty happy with the grey dial, but in terms of collectability, do you think it makes sense to "upgrade" to the limited edition?
The trade will come with 350 USD out of my pocket.
So what do you say?

Hey there! I don't think there's any wrong answer. Both watches are awesome. I guess it just boils down to whether you value the idea of having a "limited edition" or not.
I will say that it's always fun to secretly know that you have something that other people can't get, because it was limited production! I mean, nobody in their right mind would notice or care even if they did somehow glean that it's a limited edition watch, but YOU will know, and you'll be gleefully enjoying it, like Gollum with the ring.

Haha so much wisdom here :D I am usually not particularly attracted by seiko's limited editions, they tend to quite big "limited editions". And it's pretty much exactly the same watch, dial color does not involve a lot of RND and testing:) Will see how they will look next to each other and decide by heart.
Hey! I'm in a similar boat, (considering between the two--and also considering whether I should hold off entirely and keep saving for a SM300m). Can you update us on whether you chose to stay with the 143 or pulled the trigger and got the 149?

Stayed with the 143 :) nothing I disslike about it, goes with every strap or nato :)
