Longines VHP GMT

Just picked this big baby up. Wondering what straps would go well with it so all suggestions are welcome. There is an original rubber strap but that one is expensive.

Any NATO in the black/grey family, Red even, a White rubber strap, Black or White crocodile. Really with a white dial & black markings there are a ton of possibilities.

Oooo. How do you like it? I’ve been eyeing one for a long time. what‘s wrong with the bracelet?

It’s my first Longines and I like it a lot. It is neither a traveler or office GMT and yet it is both due to the flash app setting on the phone feature. The silver dial looks better in reality than in photos. Nothing wrong with the bracelet. I feel the watch can be quite versatile with different strap options but the lug width is 22mm. I don’t really need 22mm straps for other watches so need to be mindful what straps I get for this one.

Very cool. I’m a bracelet/rubber/silicone kind of guy, so I’m afraid I can’t recommend any leather options. I used to use a lot of NATO/Zulu straps. Double vs single pass on those is personal preference. I bought most of mine on Amazon, tacking one on every time I ordered something.

I am a fan of Barton Watch Bands for their Elite Silicone. I find them to be super comfortable. I also like their tropic style straps, BUT I think their newer rubber formulation on those is too grippy and makes getting through the keepers a pain. I could be wrong, though. I still like mine. I only have one leather strap from them, so I can’t speak to most of their leather selection.

I love Uncle Seiko’s rubber straps. I have the 22mm chocolate bar. Comfortable and the perfect vintage vibe.

That watch will probably go with just about anything. Have fun with it!

Lovely looking watch, I'll look forward to reading g about your experience with it. Seriously considering the black one myself. The white ones look really nice on Longines leather straps but I take your point, expensive.  I have a Planet Ocean and rubber straps for that are ridiculous ££

So far I have worn it for several days in a row and it has been great. Looking forward to traveling with it next month and see how the GMT function works. The Longines rubber strap is 25% of the cost of the watch. The strap for the Planet Ocean is probably around 10%. It makes it insane to get an additional original strap for this.

I have a MAX FKM Waffle strap ( quick release) on my PO, cost me £20 from Amazon, far more comfortable and durable than the Omega OEM. have you considered a padded Sailcloth strap? £38 from WTch Gecko and they ship internationally.

Update: Finally found one which I like.
