Thanks Andy, sorry to hear that. I've got another two, a triple gold and a smaller 35mm one from the 70s I think, going by the style, that's seen better days.

Yeah, age brings damage, my dads has a big scratch on the glass and he has also took the original bracelet off and fitted an expander!
Anyway it’s my dads and always will be, i have the box, instructions and the bracelet sizing paper tool!

They are. But they're not as cheap as they used to be and there's also a huge number of Bombay special ones. Although they're fairly easy to spot, the citizen logo is usually printed on these and the 7 logo should be in red.

Don't buy from India😂. The citizen logo, the eagle logo and the markers should all be applied rather than printed. The 7 on the logo should be in a red background. The printing of Automatic on the Franken watches is usually in a much larger font. If the dial color is a garish red, green, blue, orange, pink etc it's most likely a Franken. Japan Made on the dial is another dead giveaway.
That blue hits just right. I really like this piece!
