2022 Recap : two watches I never thought I'd buy

First came the Formex : the much celebrated release of the 39 mm Essence brought me to reconsider the brand with a weird name. Has become my most worn mon-fri timepiece

Had heard about Paul Scurfield on the TGN podcast but never thought I'd be looking at the saturation diving end of the market, until this looker popped on my screen. Great fun, will be my 2023 summer watch

Eager to follow your life with the Scurfa. Have been flirting with the darker blue colorway of the same watch. Enjoy it, and here’s to summer 2023!

The white dial formex is on my short list this year, such a great looking watch.

Scurfa intrigues me…

Not that I need another diver or another beater, but unlike some micro brands Scurfa seems to have an honesty around the product, in how straightforward in function it is. Bezel action is one of the things cheaper watches really have trouble getting right and I understand Scurfa nails that.

A yellow dial quartz might be fun to pick up at some point…

Do you still wear your Surfa Top Side Crew? I have one on the way.

I do. Was indeed wearing it on an olive rubber strap last Saturday and enjoying every minute of it. Great little watch
