Absolutely! Any time I have to drop a huge amount of money on a watch I give it a lot of thought. For me, at the end of the day, it goes down to two factors: 1. Will I love and use the watch all the time? If yes, then it’s an obvious purchase. 2. I look at this as an investment too. Maybe I will not have to sell my watch on my life time but perhaps when I pass away, and my family is in a difficult financial situation, they can sell all of my watches and make good money for themselves. Or maybe if I don’t have a family, and I’m the one in a similar situation, I could sell some of them to get back on my feet. This is just my train of thought and opinion on this of course. I’m sure everyone else is different and have their own reasons to do things. Which are all valid of course.
My main issue with Invicta is the bad reputation it has. At least from my experience and what I have heard from other, it has never being a good one with those watches or brand. Perhaps if someone else would’ve bought Glycie I would feel better about it. Of course it sucks that Glycine was in such a bad situation to get to this point. They are wonderful time pieces. But it is what it is.
