Honest opinion on this Velcro Nato

Give me your honest opinion on this Velcro Nato strap. Is it too cheap looking for such an iconic watch? On the plus side it is very comfortable and secure, and yes the actual astronauts wear theirs on a Velcro strap.

I bought this Speedy on the Omega nylon strap (noob mistake) and am seriously considering buying the new reference bracelet for this Speedy. Ref: 020-Z01-7488

Yes, it's a strap monster and I've tried every strap out there, but the gap between the case and strap bothers me, so it's either Nato or bracelet for me.

I find traditional Nato's too bulky. So what do you think? And if I do decide to get the bracelet is it just something my AD can order for me? I looked online and did not see a way to purchase it directly.

Try a Forstner Komfit. They were also used by the Apollo astronauts. Very light, very comfortable and very secure. Nowhere near as pricey as an OEM Omega bracelet (Forstner do othe bracelets for the speedy too)

Here's mine on my Speedy-wannabe

Thank you, I actually looked at the Forstner Bullet and you're right, it is worth a second look, but in my heart I know I would probably rather have the OEM version.

Yeah, I get it. Sometimes it's just gotta be a stock part 🤣

Good luck mate 🤞🏻

It's perfection no matter what you put it on 😍👍👍

It looks fine. If you don’t like the gap, try a thicker strap material like padded suede with curved spring bars.

I like NATO's a lot. Especially in the hotter summer months. With Velcro, what I don't like is seeing is the exposed part of it. Then, as it wears, it looks even worse. There are plenty of NATO straps that do not involve Velcro. And, most are better suited (classier) for that watch.

The style looks fine, but the branding kills it.

@Orzo4301 I’ve never been a fan of NATOS. The a nylon or rubber strap.
