The problems with G-Shocks: 1) When you buy a $100 Casio G-Shock, you now own your most accurate watch, reset within a 100th of s second by a radio atomic clock in most the Northern Hemisphere each night. 2) When all you other watches have lume, but you wear a G-Shock and tilt your wrist and its lit of with a soft white LED no lume can compete with, not even tritium. 3) When your watch is a perpetual calendar and, wait I do not own any other that is. 4) No matter what the sporting activity, the G-Shock is the best choice so you can enjoy your activity without fear of damaging your precious watch. 5) When you leave it off your wrist for a week, month, year, and its still accurate with no wrist shake or hand wind 6) When you measure the technology in a mechanical watch in milometers and the key technology in a G-Shock is measured in nanometers. 7) When you travel or walk in urban areas and have no fear of being held up for your watch 8) When you are in a conversation with a watch elitist and they give you watch respect. 9) When it comes to an Iconic design, it is up there with the most famed Rolex Sub. The design so classic, it is largely unchanged in 20+ years. 10) And if you want a "dress" watch they come in stainless, or a fashion watch they come in many colors, though I personally think it defeats the purpose to have a highly polished watch. 11) It has features galore, like an hourly chime, but is not just a miniaturized smart phone. 12) I do not need to get my solar powered G-Shock serviced, possibly ever. 13) While I still love and treasure my elegant horologic mechanical watches, many where grail watches of my past, they just do not get much time on my wrist these days and that is a real problem as I do love them still, I swear. and I still want many grail time pieces, but know I am less likely to buy them as they would be safe queens getting rare use. Warning: Do yourself a favor, do not spoil yourself for under $100 including shipping for a watch or $300 Japanese import version, you will use as the benchmark for accuracy, durability, functionality, legibility,...against all your very fine time pieces.
