Oh, yes. That is a nice one. Pity, that is so rate to find. Do they still sell them at Harrod’s, or was it a limited run only?

@nightfury95, you make an excellent argument. Thickness is not one of my key worries, given that my current daily is a hefty BB Pro. However, I could do with a little lighter while riding a bike. Maybe I should reconsider the whole thing and go back to the Pelagos 39. Did you already have that one on?

True that... METAs do not bring much value over COSC. So I'll keep an eye out for good discounts on Gen 2s:) Thanks

It's hard to obtain, but you can strike gold. I discovered this one near Wuppertal.

Obviously, there are numerous ways to approach this question. Based only on the selection provided: I'd go with a watch that can do everything. Great movement, solid build quality, and something can outlast a 'battle'. Tudor BlackBay, Tudor BlackBay 58, IWC Spitfire. No date complication makes these more robust and durable. I'm curious how you feel about these.

that makes sense.  i'm in between sizes, so i could pull off both versions. thanks for the insight anyway. enjoy your new purchase. :)
